In sports betting it is possible to bet on an isolated event, or to combine a certain number of events. This combination of bets on one is what we call multiple bets.
Within multiple bets we have simple multiple bets, in which we are required to hit all selected events regardless of the number, since even if this bet consists of 10 games and we hit “only” 9, we will lose our bet.
In addition to simple multiple bets, there are multiple combined bets, which have a more complex composition and which we will try to explain now. Note that the goal in choosing a combined multiple instead of a simple multiple is that in these combinations we will be able to recoup some of the investment or even profit even without setting all the results.
Let’s now explain one by one the combined multiple bets we see regularly available at the best-known bookmakers:
Trixie: To make a combined multiple trixie we need to choose 3 bets on different events. A multiple trixie bet consists of 3 double bets (single multiple with 2 events) and 1 triple bet (single multiple of 3 events). Hitting 2 of the 3 selected results already obtain some return, because one of the pairs that make up the trixie is certain. Hitting all the results will get the maximum value because all the double and triple that make up the trixie will be right.
Patent: This type of combined multi bet is very similar to Trixie, since 3 selections are also required. The composition of a combined Patent bet is 3 single bets, 3 doubles and 1 triple, ie it adds only the 3 single bets in relation to the combined multiple Trixie. If we hit just one event we already have some return, fruit of simple bets made. With two certain events we have the return of 2 simple bets and 1 double and if we hit the 3 results we won the 7 bets that make up the combined “Patent”.
Yankee: The Yankee are 11 bets placed based on 4 different selections. 6 doubles, 4 triples and 1 quadruple (simple multiple bet consisting of 4 events) make up Yankee and from 2 correct results we started to get return.
Lucky15: Lucky15 combined bets are, as the name implies, a set of 15 bets. Like the Yankees, the Lucky15 are composed of 4 selections that are paired in 6 doubles, 4 trebles, 1 quadruple and 4 single bets. Summarizing and in relation to the Yankee are added 4 simple bets which allows some return as soon as you get a result.
Super Yankee or Canadian: We need 5 selections to make a Super Yankee. The Super Yankees contain 26 bets: 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 quadruples and a simple multiple bet of 5 selections. To get a return you need to hit on at least 2 of the results.
Lucky31: It takes 5 selections to make the 31 bets that make up this combined multiple. The 31 bets are divided into 5 single bets, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 quadruples and 1 single multiple bet with the 5 selections. Just hit a result to start getting return.
Lucky63: You need 6 selections to make a combined Lucky63. As the name indicates the 6 selections are distributed by 63 bets: 6 single bets, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 quadruples, 6 single multiple bets with 5 of the 6 selections and 1 single multiple bet with 6 drafts.
To get a return, just hit one of the selections.
Heinz: Similar to Lucky63 but without the simple bets. There are 57 bets with 6 different events: 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 quadruples, 6 single multiple bets of 5 events and 1 single multiple bet of 6 events.
You need to hit two selections to start getting some feedback.
Super Heinz: There are 120 bets based on 7 events divided into 21 doubles, 35 triples, 35 quadruples, 21 single multiple bets of 5 events, 7 single multiple bets of 6 events, and one single multiple bet of 7 events. Two selections are required for feedback.
Goliath: 8 selections are required for this system. The 247 bets that comprise this system are distributed in 28 doubles, 56 triples, 70 quadruples, 56 simple multiples of 5 events, 28 simple multiple bets of 6 events, 8 simple multiple bets of 7 events and a single multiple bet of 8 events . You need two right events to start getting feedback.
Other Combined Multiple Betting Systems
Alphabet: It’s a mix of two multiple bet systems combined with a simple multiple bet. It takes 6 selections to make the Alphabet that are made up of two combined bets “Patent”, 1 combined multiple bet “Yankee” and a single multiple bet with the 6 selections. Just hit one of the selections to start getting feedback.
Multiple Combinations 2/6 6/8 5/8 and Identical: Many bookmakers have some multiple bets combined in this way: Multiple Combined 2/6 (6 multiple bet Combined 5/8 (8 bets) etc. To explain and pick up on example of the combined 2/6 or 2 means the groups of bets that will be formed, in this case double, therefore as a consequence it also represents the number of certain events required to obtain a return, while the 6 means the number of selections that we have to make for this type of bet.
Note: For each of these combined multiple bets we can always add a banker, that is, another selection that we consider to be very likely to happen, this selection or banker will be present in all bets placed within each system of a multiple bet combined by that we always have to hit the banker to get some return.
Taking some doubts about multiple bets:
– How to calculate an odds in a multiple bet: The odds of a multiple bet is the multiplication of the individual odds of each selected event.
– When an event of a multiple is returned what happens to the multiple? The multiple is kept where the odds of the returned event pass to 1.00.
